English Wordle on Onlinedle: the multiplayer take on the classic word puzzle. Six lengths from 5 to 10 letters. Same room, same hidden word, six guesses each, race to solve first.
How to play
Choose a nickname and create a room.
Share the room link; friends join with their own nicknames.
The host picks a length and the round starts.
Each guess colours up: green for right letter in right spot, yellow for right letter wrong spot, grey for absent.
First solve wins the round; runners-up keep going with their remaining guesses.
Pool sizes
The English word pools come from an intersection of dwyl/english-words and google-10000-english, filtered for everyday vocabulary. 5-letter rounds feel familiar to anyone who's played the original. 9 and 10-letter pools are small enough that experienced players see occasional repeats.
Tips
First two guesses are reconnaissance. By guess two you should know which of the most common letters (R, S, T, L, N, plus vowels) are in.
Move yellow letters. A yellow letter put back in the same slot wastes the guess.
Q usually pairs with U. If Q comes up green, U is probably the next letter.
Plurals and suffixes help longer rounds. 8 and 10-letter answers commonly end in S, ED, ING or TION.
