Frequently asked questions

The most common questions about Onlinedle. If your question isn't answered here, write to info@onlinedle.com.

General

What is Onlinedle?

A multiplayer guessing-games platform. Wordle, LoLdle, Valdle, Footballdle, and dozens of other games can be played with friends in the same room, in real time.

Do I need to create an account?

No. Just pick a nickname. No email, no password, no phone, no social login.

Is it free?

Yes, completely free. We may show ads on some pages; the games themselves will always be free.

Does it work on mobile?

Yes. Any modern browser (iOS Safari, Android Chrome, desktop Chrome / Firefox / Safari / Edge) works. No app install required.

Rooms and gameplay

What's the maximum number of players in a room?

4-6 is the sweet spot in practice. Technically you can have more than 10, but games that wait for everyone to finish slow down with crowds.

Who becomes the host?

The first player to enter the room. The host picks games and adjusts settings. If the host leaves, the role passes to the oldest remaining player.

How do I share the room URL?

Copy the URL from your browser's address bar and paste into any chat app, or use the in-app "Share" button to send via WhatsApp directly.

Can I remove a player from the room?

Only as the host. Click a player in the room list and choose "Remove from room". The removed player is sent back to the lobby with a notice.

Which games are available in solo mode?

Most games. Exceptions: TKMdle (Rock-Paper-Scissors) and Tekdle, which are designed for multiplayer dynamics and are hidden in solo.

Data and privacy

Are you saving my data?

No. We don't run a database. Your nickname and sound preferences live only in your browser's localStorage. Game progress lives in Supabase Realtime memory for the room's lifetime and is wiped when the room closes.

Can other players see my guesses during play?

No. They see only progress badges: how many guesses you've made, whether you've solved, whether you're still trying. The actual content of your guesses is private until you finish or the round ends.

Do you use cookies?

Only for Google AdSense ad serving (when active). Visitors from the European Economic Area, UK and Switzerland see Google's certified Consent Management Platform (CMP) prompt.

Is the site safe for children?

Some games (Wordle, Mathdle, Countrydle, Pokedle) are appropriate for all ages. Some category games (Kurtlar Vadisi, etc.) require an older audience. Per our privacy policy, the site is not directed at children under 13.

Technical

Which browsers are supported?

Modern Chrome (90+), Firefox (90+), Safari (15+), Edge (90+). Internet Explorer and very old mobile browsers are not tested.

What happens if my connection drops?

Your browser tries to reconnect. When the connection comes back, the room state re-syncs. Brief drops don't lose your guesses; the game returns where you left off.

Where do the game datasets come from?

Static data (Wordle word lists, football club lists) is bundled with the app. Images (LoL champion icons, player photos) are loaded on demand from public sources — Riot DDragon, ESPN, NBA CDN, Wikipedia.

Can I suggest a new game?

Sure — write to info@onlinedle.com. If a sustainable data source exists, we can usually add it. We avoid games that need weekly manual updates (live sports stats, etc.).

Copyright

Do you have licenses for LoLdle, Valdle, Disneydle, etc.?

No. These games are fan culture, made for educational and entertainment purposes. We do not show ads on these pages and do not earn revenue from them. If a copyright holder requests removal, we comply immediately.
