Filmdle is a movie guessing game. The pool is the IMDB Top 250 plus the 200 most-voted Turkish films on IMDB. Every guess compares two genres, country, age rating, IMDB rating, release year and runtime.
The answer comes from the Top 250 or the 60 best-known Turkish films (Eşkıya, G.O.R.A., Hababam Sınıfı, Winter Sleep and so on); the other Turkish films can be typed as guesses. If the host turns off "Türk filmleri de cevap olabilir" in the settings, the answer only comes from the Top 250.
Tips
Year arrow is decisive. "Pre-1990" eliminates modern action; "post-2010" trims classics.
Start with the country column. More than half the pool is American; one US and one Turkish guess split it fast.
IMDB rating and runtime fine-tune. Once the year arrow gives the era, the rating and runtime arrows rule out the rest.
Genre is often partial-match yellow. "Drama / Crime" vs "Drama / History" yields yellow — one genre matches.
Emoji mode
Filmdle - Emoji plays the IMDB Top 250 behind a completely different clue: a six-emoji rebus describing the movie. Only the first emoji is visible to begin with and each wrong guess uncovers one more, so guessing early means guessing on less. You get 6 tries.
Scoring is by number of attempts, not speed. Everyone is looking at the same emojis, so solving it in fewer guesses is the skill rather than typing quickly. The rebuses describe the plot and iconic scenes, and the first emoji always carries the most weight.
